 Bassist/Composer/Band leader Fred Randolph brings his fiery quintet to
Mama Kin for the first time on Thursday March 30 th . The group has
recorded 4 cds: “Learning Curve”, “New Day”, “Song Without Singing” and
it’s most recent offering “Mood Walk”. JW magazine says of Mood Walk:
“Stylistically eclectic, supremely grooving, endlessly fascinating
masterwork… a rambunctious, twist, turn and improvisation-filled set.”
Joining Fred will be some of the most in demand musicians on the scene:
Erik Jekabson trumpet, Sheldon Brown saxes and flute, Isaac Schwartz
drums, and Murray Low piano.
